Install the Shopify app

Add Mulberry Product Protection from the Shopify App Store and connect your store to Mulberry — the first step of every Shopify integration.

Installing the Mulberry Product Protection app connects your store to Mulberry: it registers each warranty sale automatically, keeps coverage in sync with cancellations and refunds, and is the prerequisite for every Mulberry surface on Shopify — product pages, checkout, POS, and draft orders.

Offers appear only once your pricing is configured

Installing the app doesn't put offers on your storefront by itself. Offers are priced per retailer, and until Mulberry loads your pricing program — part of onboarding — offer requests come back empty. See Activate your account below.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:

  1. You have a Mulberry partner account. If you don't, the install flow walks you through creating one.
  2. You are an admin (or have app-install permission) on the Shopify store.
  3. You're in touch with Mulberry — for most retailers, our team configures pricing as part of onboarding.

Every Shopify path starts here

Whatever surfaces you plan to use — product pages, checkout, POS, draft orders — this install comes first. Getting offers onto your product pages is its own step; see Show offers on product pages.

Install the app

  1. Go to the Mulberry Product Protection listing in the Shopify App Store and click Install (or Add app).
  2. Shopify shows the permissions Mulberry needs. Review them and click Install to approve.
    • You should now be redirected back to Mulberry.
  3. If your store doesn't have a Mulberry account yet, the install flow walks you through a short signup wizard to create one.
    • When it finishes, you should land in your Mulberry Partner Dashboard.

Setup runs automatically on install

The moment you approve the app, Mulberry configures your store for you: it injects the storefront script that provides the Mulberry SDK, registers the order webhooks that record every warranty sale, and creates a collection that keeps warranty products out of your storefront collections. There is nothing to paste into your theme for this part. Re-installing or re-approving is safe — setup is idempotent and won't create duplicates.

Activate your account

Offers are priced per retailer, so one thing must be true before they can appear: pricing is configured for your account. Until your pricing program is loaded, offer requests return empty. Mulberry's team sets this up during onboarding (self-serve signups start on a standard pricing template automatically), and your Partner Success manager confirms when your account is live. Self-serve signups also complete a platform-fee payment step before the dashboard unlocks.

No offers showing?

The usual cause is pricing that isn't configured yet — check with your Partner Success manager. If your account is live and offers still don't show, placement isn't wired up for your theme — see Show offers on product pages.

What runs automatically

Once the app is installed you don't configure any of the following — they're wired up for you:

  • The storefront SDK. The injected script loads the Mulberry SDK and the cart helpers your product-page integration uses. Wiring offers into your theme is covered in Show offers on product pages.
  • Sale registration. When an order containing a Mulberry warranty is placed, Shopify notifies Mulberry through the orders/create webhook and the warranty is registered with no action from you. You don't submit anything manually.
  • Cancellations and refunds. Order cancellations and refunds are propagated to Mulberry automatically so coverage stays in sync.
  • Warranty start dates. When you fulfill (ship) an order, the warranty start date resets to the ship date. See Automatic warranty start date.

One app, multiple surfaces

Checkout, POS, and draft-order offers ship as optional extensions inside this same app. Installing Mulberry Product Protection is the prerequisite for all of them — you don't install separate apps.
